TRIPLES

Hole #1 – Straight Up (Par 4, 416 yards): Keegan Bradley to kick off the first triples hole… Finds the fairway easily. Smooth swing. Lowry waste no time in smashing one and just holds on to the fairway. Ludvig to continue his dominance over the double header from 152 yards…a little right but on the green. They’ll have a 21 footer for birdie. Rory from 139 yards…hit a great shot to 9 feet for birdie. Wyndham up to putt for The Bay…just short. Boston throws the hammer and The Bay accepts. Hediki to hit his first ever TGL shot for 2 points. No doubt. 2-0 Boston!

Hole #2 – The Spear (Par 5, 577 yards): Rory McIlroy with the big stick…in the rough but in play. Aberg with driver as well…same shot opposite side. Both teams in the rough for the second shot. Matsuyama bullets one left but in great position for eagle. Wyndham laying up…they’ll have a wedge in. Lowry from 82 yards…long and not in a great position. Advantage BOS. Åberg from 30 feet missed it, in for par. Keegan Bradley with the green side chip…an up and down wins the hole. Keegan duffs it. Uh oh…Rory with the long put for birdie…12 feet…misses it. Hole tied.

Hole #3 – Set in Stone (Par 3, 157 yards): Matsuyama to kick off his first par 3 in TGL…hits it long and left. That will be a little tough for them. Clark to follow…sticks it to 5 feet! Hammer thrown by The Bay and Boston declines. 2-1.

Hole #4 – Sterling (Par 5, 554 yards): Shane Lowry to kick off the 4th hole…finds the fairway. Keegan to follow up…finds the middle fairway bunker for the first time in TGL history. Åberg from 264 yards going for it…short left but very good positioning for Bay. Wyndham will have a chip. Rory from the bunker…With a wood in the bunker hits it cleanly long and left. What a shot! Wyndham chips one to gimme range thats a birdie. Hideki uses the backstop on a difficult chip and puts it to gimme range as well. Hole tied.

Hole #5 – Cliffhanger (Par 3, 189 yards): Åberg who absolutely darts all par 3’s…waaaay short. Rory with the door open…short left but no harm done. Wyndham to chip first…just right but a gimme. nice shot. Hideki chipping as well..just misses but leaves 6 feet coming back…The bay throws the hammer…and Boston accepts. Keegan to tie the hole…lips out! OH MY GOD!

Hole #6 – Loot On The Line (Par 4, 377 yards): Clark off the tee…in the fairway. Hideki to answer… left and in a weird bowl area. Keegan 168 yards to the pin…finds the green a 35 footer for birdie. Beauty response from Lowry puts it 17 feet for birdie. Rory from 35 feet…a huge ridge to navigate…just misses by an inch! Wild putt. Åberg for the birdie and the hole…miss read…hole tied.

Hole #7 – Fallen Pine (Par 3, 179 yards): Shane Lowry to kick it off…calling for it to sit. Way long. Keegan with the door open…finds the green and take the slope that will make the put easier from 26 feet. Åberg chipping from 36 feet. spins on in their nice to and gets the gimme. McIlroy to win form 26 feet…not quite but another great putt from Rory. Hole Tied

Hole #8 – Bluebonnet (Par 4, 312 yards): Åberg kicking off the drivable par 4…right at it. Oh my what a shot but it trickled around the green and they will have a long one. 32 feet. over draws and finds it long but at least not in the bunker. Both teams in respectable spots for the second shot. Hideki chipping from 51 feet…catches the ridge but doesn’t get there. That will be a tough putt. Wyndham for eagle and the hole…lips it but hits it hard. Still work for both birdie puts. 8 feet for BOS and 5 feet for The Bay. Keegan for birdie…sinks it. Shane for birdie…nails it.. Hole tied. Bay holds the lead going into the last triples hole.

Hole #9 – Bonnie Link (Par 5, 591 yards): Wyndham to drive the last triples hole…crushes it in the fairway. Hideki hits a monster that catches a ridge and get 321 yards total out of it. Keegan with 282 yards…stripes it on the green but they will have a ridge to deal with on the 30 foot eagle putt. Lowry from 273 yards…hits a monster that finds a better part of the green and they will have 19 feet for eagle. McIlroy hits it off line and little hard that should be a gimme for them but they will put it. 18 feet for Ludvig for the win…went the other way. The hole will most likely be tied. Hideki sinks it.

SINGLES

Hole #10 – Serpent (Par 5, 576 yards) – (Shane Lowry vs. Keegan Bradley): Lowry to kick off the first Head to Head match and stripes one in the fairway. Keegan to answer…finds the fairway beautifully. Keegan with 231 to the pin…going for it in two…pulls it and holds it just before the hazard area. Thankfully. Lowry with 229 yards…short and right. The hole will be one with the wedge. Keegan to go first…a bunker to carry…holes out for eagle! wild! What a shot! Lowry to hole out and tie the hole…a hair short. match returns to even!

Hole #11 – Alpine (Par 4, 535 yards) – (Ludvig Åberg vs. Rory McIlroy): Rory to kick off his macth versus the BIG SWEDE. Successfully hits the speed slot and hell have a good shot in. Åberg to do the same…even better as it hits both speed slots. Rory from 180…a little out right and finds the green side bunker. Aberg to take the advantage on both shots…and he does. but it spins back a lot? the players are confused. Rory from the bunker…hits it great to 3 feet. Åberg for birdie and the win…gives the putt to Rory and Rory is surprised. but doesn’t matter as Åberg just puts it center cup for the win.

Hole #12 – Craic On (Par 3, 151 yards) – (Wyndham Clark vs. Hideki Matsuyama): Wyndham hits a beauty to 7 feet. Hideki for his first ever Match play…long but no in to much trouble. On the green. 28 feet. Hammer thrown by The Bay. Accepted by Boston. Hideki up the ridge and less that half an inch from going in! Wyndham from 5 feet for the win and two points…misses it right. Boston remains in the game. Great hammer acceptance from Boston!

Hole #13 – The Plank (Par 4, 302 yards) – (Shane Lowry vs. Keegan Bradley): Lowry to kick it off after losing to Keegan last H2H match…short left he’ll have a look. Keegan for Boston needing a point over these next three holes..calling for it to go and it’s on the green for eagle. Keegan short sided going over a bunker…shorts it into the bunker! Keegan to putt for eagle…throws the hammer! The Bay declines and the match is tied 4-4!

Hole #14 – On The Rocks (Par 3, 135 yards) – (Ludvig Åberg vs. Rory McIlroy): Rory to kick of his rematch with Åberg…gets it on the green! 9 footer for birdie coming. Åberg to respond…puts it to 6 feet and inside of Rory! Rory from 9 feet and birdie…sinks it! Can Åberg answer? Rory throws the hammer..this miss will lose the game! Åberg goes for it…nails it! The BIG SWEDE baby!

Hole #15 – Quick Draw (Par 5, 714 yards) – (Wyndham Clark vs. Hideki Matsuyama): Hideki to kick the last match off…finds the fairway and will have a chance at the green. Clark to follow up…never a doubt same result. Hideki from 209…beauty! Eagle putt from 18 coming for BOS. Clark to answer…even closer! Wyndham will have 10 feet for eagle! UNREAL! Hideki for eagle…just misses left and it’s given for birdie. Can Wyndham win it for The Bay…Boston uses their final time out to ICE The Bay. Clark resets…sinks it for the win! The Bay remain undefeated!
