TRIPLES
Hole #1 – Hatchet (Par 4, 463 yards): Thomas to kick off the match…fairway. Keegan to follow up…finds the fairway as well. Hideki to hit his first shot tonight from 150…long of the green. Horchel to follow up from 120 yards…long as well. Both players confused when they went long. Both teams will be chipping from the same area. Patrick Cantlay to chip for ATL…hits a beaitful skipper that stops near the hole. McIlroy looking to do the same…hits the pin and out. Almost holed out! Thomas from 4.4 feet to tie the hole…yup. Hole tied.
Hole #2 – Sterling (Par 5, 554 yards): Horchel to tee off for ATL…over draws it into the left rough. Hideki to follow… same shot as Billy Horschel. They’ll both be in the same spot. Patrick Cantlay with the wood from the rough…finds the left area up near the green. Rory from the rough…finds the green-side bunker. Short game battle coming up. Thomas chipping up over the bunker and sticks it close for birdie. Keegan from the bunker…just didn’t get it clean and it’s out to the left. Long birdie putt for them. 14 feet. Matsuyama with the putt for birdie…just by the hole. Par for BOS. ATL putting for birdie from 5 feet and the win…Horschel sinks it! 1-0 ATL

Hole #3 – Fallen Pine (Par 3, 194 yards): Patrick Cantlay to kick off the first Par 3 of the night…a beautiful tee shot that fines the green and they will 9 feet for birdie. Rory to follow that up…a little long but that will leave them a putt for birdie. ATL throws down the hammer. Boston accepts. Bradley putts and its long and right. ATL from 9 feet for the win and two points…Thomas hits it and it dance aroun d the hole and stops 1/8th of an inch from the hole. Game remains 1-0 ATL.
Hole #4 – Hang Loose (Par 5, 578 yards): Thomas to tee off on the new hole…finds the right route…fairway. Keegan following up after a littlw trash talk between the two…over cooks it…left rough. Horschel from 246 with 5 wood…finds the right area by the green after cutting it too much. They’ll be chipping. Hideki from the rough…lands a foot short into the left green-side bunker. Rory from the bunker…clips it nicely into the gimme zone. Birdie for BOS. Can ATL chip it in for eagle and the win? Patrick Cantlay with wedge in hand…duffs it. Horchel will need to sink for a tie…misses. BOS wins! 1-1
Hole #5 – Cliffhanger (Par 3, 148 yards): Hideki to kick off the short par 3…sticks it close! spins back a little and leaves them 13 feet for birdie. Horschel to answer…cranks it over the green and into the bunker. Advantage Boston. Cantlay from the bunker…on the downslope and he riffles it into the other bunker. Thomas to save the hole. Doesn’t go in but its within 4 feet. Rory sinks the thirteen footer for the point. 2-1 BOS!

Hole #6 – Temple (Par 4, 481 yards): Rory misses the fairway and it’s OB! ATL with a chance to get the point back. Cantlay off the tee… goes with the iron but still finds left rough. Thomas from 253 yards from the rough…just short of green on a hill. BOS hitting 5-wood and the Common’s third shot…right and long. Horschel chips it but it stays up on a ridge of the green will still have a lot of work for birdie. Hideki sticks it in close and that will most likely be a bogey. Still a little work for bogey for ATL. ATL gets it. BOS to tie and they get it.
Hole #7 – Set in Stone (Par 3, 180 yards): Keegan to kick of the par 3…in the bunker. Justin Thomas to take advantage…out left. Neither team hit the green. Hideki cant get it out of the bunker. Rory will have to hit the same shot again. Horschel hits a little long on his chip they’ll have a little work for par. Rory will still it close and ATL concedes for Bogey. Cantlay to win…misses the putt. Hole tied.
Hole #8 – Flex (Par 4, 496 yards): Matsuyama off the tee…finds the fairway. Horschel does the same. Rory finds the green with his approach. 16 feet for birdie. Cantlay to answer…and does just that! Sticks it to 9 feet. Bradley burns the edge from 16 feet. In for par. Thomas to win from 9 feet…nope. Hole tied.

Hole #9 – Pick Yer Plunder (Par 5, 511 yards): Rory to kick of the last hole of triples…takes the conservative route and just misses the water. Cantlay now…hits a beauty in the fairway on the conservative route. Justin Thomas from 196 yards…lands up on the higher part of the green but that eagle putt will be tough. Bradley from 190…bounces on the green but lands off. Horschel for eagle long and left. Not much left for them for birdie. Hideki chipping and it hits the edge and out. Almost holed it! Putts conceded. 2-1.
SINGLES
Hole #10 – Quick Draw (Par 5, 729 yards) – (Keegan Bradley vs. Justin Thomas): Keegan Bradley kicking off the first match of single while the crowd chants “USA”. Finds the island fairway. JT to answer…finds it as well…Keegan from 221…middle green. JT from 214…short right but very good shot. Keegan Bradley from 34 feet…just a little long but good from there with a slope he was fighting. JT with the chip…spins one in there. Both teams clean up 4 footers for birdie. Hole tied.
Hole #11 – Alpine (Par 4, 535 yards) – (Hideki Matsuyama vs. Billy Horschel): Hideki teeing off dirst of his match against Horschel. Catches the speed slot…great drive. Billy Horschel looking to do the exact same…and he does. Hideki from 190 yards…finds the front bunker. Billy from 190 as well…finds the green. He’ll have a birdie putt. Horchel up first from on the green…18.11 feet…short. Hideki from the bunker needs to make at least par… chunks it back into the bunker needs to hole it now…hits the flag but looses the hole. 2-2.
Hole #12 – Oh Chute (Par 3, 162 yards) – (Rory McIlroy vs. Patrick Cantlay): Cantlay to start of his match…absolute dart and sticks it 3 feet for birdie. wow! Rory to answer…a little right but he will have a birdie chance as it rolls just off the green. Hammer thrown by ATL. Rory and BOS accept. just misses it. Can Cantlay sink it to win 2 points? Rory for par…misses it. The hole is lost. 4-2 ATL!

Hole #13 – Straight Up (Par 4, 297 yards) – (Keegan Bradley vs. Justin Thomas): Justin Thomas with 3-wood off the tee and is short of the green on the driveable par 4 but will be in good position. Keegan to answer…drives the green but will have a crazy putt from 46 feet for eagle. JT with the long chip over a bunker… takes it way upstairs and lands it real close. What a shot. Bradley with the long putt…does his best but its long. He’ll need some magic to get this putt to drop…9.10 feet…sinks it and hits a hug fist pump. JT will need to make this after they throw the hammer and ATL accepts. JT has 4.7 to the hole…nails it. Wasted hammer if you ask me.

Hole #14 – On The Rocks (Par 3, 142 yards) – (Hideki Matsuyama vs. Billy Horschel): Horschel to kick off his final H2H match…and he sticks it close for birdie. Hideki to get some redemption from his last match…sticks it close as well. Both have 7 foot birdie putts. Horschel to go first…nails it! Hideki needs this or they lose the match. ATL throws the hammer but not sure it matters. Hideki doesn’t make it! ATL will win the hole and match and clinch a playoff spot.
Hole #15 – Riptide (Par 5, 536 yards) – (Rory McIlroy vs. Patrick Cantlay): Both players find the bunker off the tee. Cantlay finds the left area green-side. Rory from 213…finds the left area but a lot closer to the pin. Cantlay uses the slope and will have about 5 feet for birdie. Rory chips it to 3 feet. and PC gives him the putt. PC misses his putt and get a par. Hole tied. Same outcome ATL clinches playoff spot.
