Who's your pick??
LA's looking to go 2-0, while Boston's trying to stay alive for a playoff spot. Two evenly matched teams on paper. pic.twitter.com/M6NlLTZeb6
BET365 MONEYLINE: BOS (-110) – LA (-110)
TRIPLES
Hole #1 – The Claw: Tommy Fleetwood to kick off the match with driver in hand…perfect. McIlroy to follow up from off the tee…and the Pebble Beach winner calls for it to go and gets it. Collin Marikawa to find the green on this short Par 4 from 158 yards…stick it under two feet and shimmy dances! Adam Scott will need to rebuttal…just short but looked good the entire way. Good effort. Keegan Bradley from the rough around the green which has been tricky for TGL players to navigate…just misses right as he went for it.Rory needs to make a 4 footer to even have a chance to tie..never a doubt. makes it. LA for birdie and the hole…easy money. 1-0 LA!

Hole #2 – Pick Yer Plunder: Marikawa to kick off the second hole and keep the pressure on Boston Common…leaks out right and just finds the rough. Adam Scott to capitalize on Morikawa’s tee shot…finds the water. Uh-oh. Not looking good for Boston early. Justin Rose lays it up on this Par 5 with Boston in the water. Keegan Bradley to do something crazy and bail his teammate out… finds the water going for it. Looks like they will be two done barring a miracle. Fleetwood to find the green and pretty much win the hole from 166 yards…bizarrely looks left to right after what appears to be a misread from the technology…weird feeling in the building. The ref will call an invalid reading and he will hit again…this time just finding the left bunker. but this should be more than fine. Rory needs to make this for a par…almost but no sir. Stating afterwards “I had to go for it”. Collin from the bunker leaves it long.. Justin Rose misses and Adam Scott misses the tying putt from nine feet. 2-0 LA

Hole #3 – Oh Chute: Rose to kick off another hole for LA. Sticks it nicely on the green and LA looking dialed. They will have 7 feet for birdie. Keegan will miss the green and give his teammate a really tough up and down. Can LA go up by 3 this early? McIlroy will have his work cut out for him…kind of babies it. A lot of players struggle from around the greens in TGL. Fleetwood for birdie and the hole…lips it in! 3-0 LA!

Hole #4 – The Spear: Fleetwood off the tee looking to continue the beatdown fro LA over Boston…iron off the tee finds it perfectly and tells the crowd it’s fine as the crowd anticipated a possible OB. Rory hits driver and find the second part of the fairway giving Boston a chance at going for it in two. Marikawa to lay up…that will be fine giving them about 101-02 left to the pin. Adam Scott with a wood in hand, the same one he just holed a crazy final shot in pebble beach…just makes it over the water but is far left. Rose with 103 yards… sticks it a tad long. 15 feet for Birdie for LA. Boston will have a chance to win a hole if they can go up and down and LA fall short with their long putt for birdie…Keegan Bradley for the chip…tries to spin it bu scares the hole and rolls passed. Both teams putting for Birdie Boston with the better chance..Fleetwood leaves it on the high side with a gimme par. Rory with a chance to win a hole and get Boston back in this match…just lips out! Hole Halved.
Hole #5 – On The Rocks: Marikawa from 179…what a shot! Sticks it close to about 6 feet for birdie! LA is on point tonight! Adam Scott to rebuttal..just short and bounces back into the bunker. Not getting the breaks tonight. Keegan from the bunker…needs to stick it close…just leaves a little short but definitely makable for Rory. Rose sinks it for birdie and the hole goes to LA! 4-0!

Hole #6 – Hang Low: Rose to kick off this new TGL hole…fades on into the fairway. Keegan Bradley to answer…into the bunker. Fleetwood from 189 yards…pulls it to the left again and finds the bunker. Boston with a very tricky shot..153 from the bunker… Rory McIlroy flushes it a little long but on the green. They will have a tough downhill putt. Marikawa stick it to gimme range from the Bunker for par thats conceded by Boston. This is no guaranteed two putt from Boston…Adam Scott with this famous Broomstick Putter. ohhhh just short! Hole Halved.

Hole #7 – Fallen Pine: Fleetwood on a par three…just hits the ridge and finds the bunker! unreal. So close to being perfect. Rory to capitalize on LA missed green…finds it! That will be a real chance to win their first point of the match. Marikawa from the bunker again…can he find the same magic? oh yeah! thats a gimme. Adam Scott from 5.2 feet for the birdie and hole…leaves it out left and that a tied hole.
Hole #8 – Alpine: Marikawa to keep the momentum going for LA…way left but actually stayed on the virtual slop which will allow them to play it. Adam Scott off the tee..hits it perfect, catches the speed slot and gains another 30 yards! Juston rose form the virtually impossible slope…misses it right. The hole will come down to Marikawa with a 4 footer to tie…nails it!
Hole #9 – Pinery: Rose off the tee..perfect in the Fairway. Keegan rips one a little right and just stays in the fairway! Rory 271 and going for it…holds it out right but will have an okay chance going over the bunker in the short game area. Fleetwood from 259 and going for it as well…finds the green in beautiful fashion. Advantage LA with a 24 footer for eagle. Adam Scott tries to spin it but hits it well passed the hole. Marikawa from 24 feet and chance to win the hole… misses and gave it run so thats no gimme. Both teams with longish birdie putts. Keegan from 11.4 feet…just misses right as it takes a dive away from the hole. LA form 5 feet and another point…5-0! It’s all LA tonight at SoFi!
SINGLES
Hole #10 – Bonnie link (Rory McIlroy versus Tommy Fleetwood): Fleetwood to kick off the Singles… finds the fairway no stress. McIlroy who needs to win this hole to build momentum for the singles…finds the fairway as well but he hits 333 yards for the longest of the night. Fleetwood with an incredible shot short of the green. Rory pushing 3 wood left of the green. Rory from greenside.. hits it passed the hole will have a long birdie putt. Fleetwood from short…shoots of the club face hot and leaves it long. Leaves it out right… can Rory make it and earned their first point? McIlrou from 8.2 feet…just catches the left rim and stays out. Hole Halved.
Hole #11 – Bluebonnet (Adam Scott versus Collin Marikawa): Marikawa to kick off the short par 4…rockets it through the fairway and finds the right rough. Adam Scott off the tee..finds the middle perfectly. Adam Scott from the fairway…leaves it far out right. Boston continues to struggle. Marikawa from 111 yards catches. flyer and it is way long. Marikawa from green side to short sided pin..and he riffles it waaaay long. Adam Scott with a chance does virtually the same thing and both of them are super long. Adam Scott wil get it to gimme range. LA needs two putts to tie and one to win… Leaves it short. Boston making him putt it out form 3 feet…makes it. Hole Tied.
Hole #12 – Cliffhanger (Keegan Bradley versus Justin Rose): Rose to kick off his first singles match…hits it long and stays up on the ridge. Not terrible. Keegan looking for a win…almost holes it! and it rolls back for a kick in birdie! what a shot. But it’s too little too late for Boston. Justin Rose from 26.1 to tie the hole and just snap the neck of Boston…chases his ball down but it just stays out. Boston wins a point!
Hole #13 – The Plank (Rory McIlroy versus Tommy Fleetwood): Rory to kick off the driveable par 4…drives it OB. Oh my. Fleetwood to take advantage…leaves it short but definitely better than Rory. Rory from the drop zone from 69 yards…just a tad long and rolls off the green. 15 feet. Fleetwood for the up and down for birdie and then win…that will give him a great look but definitely no gimme (11.6 feet). Rory to save par…just out left. No breaks for Boston tonight. Tommy two putts to win…LA wins! 6-0!
Hole #14 – Set in Stone (Adam Scott versus Collin Marikawa): Collin starts it off by sticking in to 9 feet to start his final singles match..Adam Scott to rebuttal…short and left. That’s going to be tough. Not looking good for Boston. Adam Scott from 29.1 feet for birdie…just short but a hell of a putt. Marikawa from 9 feet… crushes it through the break and the putt is conceded. Hole tied.
Hole #15 – Navigator (Keegan Bradley versus Justin Rose): Keegan would win the hole by leaving an amazing 3rd shot two feet for birdie.
